Who the controller is

Controller: Pousada Native, Florianópolis (SC), Brazil. [CONFIRM the legal entity name, CNPJ, neighbourhood, full address and the data protection officer — LGPD art. 41]. There is no website, no published phone number and no published e-mail address. The only public channel identified is the Instagram profile @nativepousada, which sits behind a login wall and returns nothing to a server-side request.

The neighbourhood is not established either, and has not been inferred: nature-embedded properties in Florianópolis sit in very different markets, and guessing one would change the entire positioning.

⚠️ No environmental claim appears on this site — and why

This is the part of this policy that matters most on this lead, which is why it sits at the top. This is the “eco” lead, which makes it precisely the one where an invented fact would be most tempting and most expensive.

In Brazil, an environmental claim is regulated conduct. Under the consumer code and CONAR’s advertising rules it must be specific, truthful and substantiable. Vague terms like “ecological” or “sustainable”, with no named practice behind them, are exactly what gets challenged.

Nothing about what “eco” means at this lodge could be verified. So not one environmental line has been written:

The “Our Commitment” section ships entirely as marked blanks — energy, water, waste, construction, food — with a visible note on the page itself explaining that they are awaiting verification. Writing any of those lines unconfirmed would hand you a liability, not a favour.

⚠️ No WhatsApp number was captured

There is no published phone number, WhatsApp or e-mail. Rather than drop in a stand-in number, every WhatsApp control in this build is visibly disabled and explains why when tapped. An invented number on a published site is a stranger’s phone ringing. Confirm the number and the whole page works with no other change.

What this site stores

One thing: native.consent.v1, your cookie choice, in localStorage on this device. It reaches no server and disappears when you clear site data.

The Instagram feed sits behind consent

The Instagram embed is a third-party tracker: loading it hands your IP and an identifier to Meta before you do anything. So it sits in the marketing category and does not load without consent; until then the section shows static stock images. In this build the real embed is not even wired up, and the map in the location section is an SVG drawn here, precisely so Google is not called without consent.

The forms

There are two: the availability enquiry and the contact form. Both compose a text message and hand it to WhatsApp. Neither checks a calendar, neither writes to a server and neither confirms a booking. While there is no confirmed number they send nowhere at all: they show the notice above. Dates render as DD/MM.

Performance is part of the argument too

Worth recording, because it is consistent with the positioning: a site that presents itself as eco and ships eight megabytes of autoplaying video is an own goal. This build has no video, loads no animation library, and generates its paper texture in CSS rather than downloading an image. The entire behaviour layer is one JavaScript file.

What this site does not claim

No rate, unit count, room name, occupancy, bed configuration, amenity, distance, check-in time, cancellation policy, pet policy, language spoken at reception, founding year, rating, review, award, CNPJ or CADASTUR number appears without being marked [CONFIRM]. The blanks are deliberate and part of the pitch: they show exactly what needs handing over. Every photograph is stock and the alt text on each one says it does not depict the lodge, the rooms or the surrounding forest. No image shows children.
