Questions

Frequently asked

[PLACEHOLDER: 2–3 sentences on how roof age and remaining life are assessed, and when reroofing first makes sense — client to supply]

Not on its own. A standard grid-tied solar system without battery storage shuts down automatically when the grid goes down. This is a safety requirement: it stops the system sending power into lines that utility crews may be working on.

So during an outage your home loses power just as it would without solar, even in daylight. Keeping selected circuits running during an outage requires battery storage and additional equipment, which is scoped separately.

[TYPICAL DURATION — CONFIRM] [PLACEHOLDER: 2–3 sentences on the local permitting and utility approval steps — client to supply]

[PLACEHOLDER: 2–3 sentences — depends on whether the system is owned, financed, leased or under a PPA — client to supply]

[PLACEHOLDER: 2–3 sentences — installation requires the property owner's authorisation — client to supply]

A tax professional. Incentive programmes and how they apply depend on your own circumstances and on how the system is owned and financed. We do not give tax advice.
