Electrical installation to NBR 5410

Half of this business has nothing to do with solar. Distribution boards, earthing, service entrances, fault diagnosis and rewiring are services in their own right — and they are how plenty of people arrive, long before they think about a panel.

Electrical

What goes into an electrical installation

Executed to NBR 5410, the Brazilian standard for low-voltage electrical installations — naming the standard is a credential, not jargon.

Residential electrical installation

New build and full rewire, executed to NBR 5410.

Distribution board, breakers, RCD and SPD

Bringing the distribution board up to standard with a residual-current device and surge protection — and surge protection is genuinely relevant on this island.

Earthing and lightning protection

Earthing, and lightning protection under NBR 5419 — which is a separate discipline. [CONFIRM whether they do SPDA]

CELESC service entrance

Meter box installation and compliance with the utility standard.

Inspection and report

Inspection, thermography and fault-finding. Report scope [CONFIRM].

EV charger installation

The obvious neighbour to solar, and the easiest question to ask someone who has just had panels fitted. [CONFIRM whether they do this]

Emergency callouts [CONFIRM whether they offer them and on what hours] — nothing has been assumed here, and if they do, the phone moves to the top of this page.

Safety and compliance

Why you should demand an ART from your installer

This is not a legal disclaimer — it is the strongest sales argument this business has, because a good deal of the competition issues no ART at all.

NBR 5410

NBR 5410

The Brazilian standard for low-voltage electrical installations. It is what separates an installation that is properly done from one that merely works.

ART

ART

The formal record of technical responsibility, issued by a CREA-registered professional (Lei 6.496/1977). It is the document that says who is technically answerable for the work.

CREA-SC

CREA-SC

The responsible engineer registration. [CONFIRM the registration and the name] — no number has been invented in this mockup.

What happens without an ART

What happens without an ART

An installation with no ART can become a problem with insurance and on resale, because there is nobody formally responsible for it.

If Sollar Sul neither holds nor contracts a CREA-SC registration, this entire section has to be rewritten and the site must not imply technical responsibility the business does not have. It is the first thing to resolve. [CONFIRM]

Warranty

There are three separate warranties

Legal warranty — 90 days

Durable goods and services carry a 90-day statutory warranty from delivery (CDC art. 26, II). It applies whether it is written down or not.

Installation warranty

Any longer period is contractual and must be given in writing (CDC art. 50). [CONFIRM the terms]

Manufacturer warranty

Panel and inverter each carry their own warranty, typically long and heavily conditioned. Neither has been described here, because neither has been read. [CONFIRM both]

If any financing or instalment option is offered, it must show the cash price, the total instalment price, the number and value of instalments and the interest rate (CDC art. 52 and Decreto 5.903/2006). Naming a bank or a credit line needs the partner permission. [CONFIRM]

Service area

Island and mainland, all inside CELESC territory

Worth saying out loud: all of this area sits in CELESC concession territory, and CELESC is the utility the grid connection is done with. Real coverage, mainland travel and any callout charge [CONFIRM].

Request your quote

The number that changes everything is on your electricity bill

Solar is the one service on this site where a form beats WhatsApp, because the quote needs structured input. The field that matters is average consumption in kWh.

Where to find it: on the CELESC bill, look for the 12-month consumption history and take the average in kWh. That number is the difference between a real quote and a guess.

STOCK Bills and documents with a calculator and a pen on a table, seen from above, with no readable personal data. Stock photograph used as a placeholder.
A prior written estimate itemising labour, materials and dates (CDC art. 40), binding for 10 days from receipt unless otherwise agreed — and nothing outside it can be charged without authorisation.
What about uploading the bill? An electricity bill carries a name, an address, an installation number and a consumption pattern — personal data with real weight. So this mockup does not implement an upload: the safer path is to send a photo on WhatsApp, and if an upload really is wanted it needs a stated purpose, a retention period and a deletion route in the policy. [CONFIRM whether they want the upload]

Would rather send a photo of the bill? Send it on WhatsApp.

No savings percentage and no payback promise — just a reading of your consumption, what can be done on your roof, and a prior written estimate.
