Solar, from design to the meter swap

This page carries no savings percentage, no payback period, no estimated generation and no system size. Not modesty: those numbers only exist after reading your bill and your roof, and publishing them beforehand is misleading advertising by omission (CDC art. 37).

Solar

What goes into a photovoltaic system

No system size, no price and no brand. None of the three has been verified, and none appears here until the business supplies it.

Feasibility assessment

Roof orientation, shading, available area and your actual consumption read off the CELESC bill — not a rule of thumb.

Design and sizing

The system is sized against your consumption history. No system size appears on this site without that history in hand.

On-grid installation

Mounting, DC and AC wiring, string configuration and protections, with the electrical side executed to NBR 5410.

CELESC grid connection

The access request and approval process with the utility. Who carries that process — us or you — is the most important question in this quote. [CONFIRM who carries it]

Off-grid, hybrid and storage

Whether they do any battery work at all [CONFIRM] — nothing has been assumed here.

Monitoring and maintenance

Cleaning, inverter monitoring and periodic inspection. Frequency and scope [CONFIRM].

How grid connection works

From "I want solar" to the meter changed

This is the block that does not exist on any solar site in Floripa, and it is exactly what every buyer is anxious about. Five stages, in plain language, saying who does each one.

  1. Bill analysis and feasibility

We read your consumption history off the CELESC bill and look at the roof, its orientation and shading. This is where you find out whether the project makes sense at all.

    Sollar Sul
  2. Design and the ART issued by the responsible engineer

The design is signed by a CREA-registered professional, who issues the ART — the formal record of technical responsibility (Lei 6.496/1977). [CONFIRM who the responsible engineer is]

    Sollar Sul
  3. Access request to CELESC

The access request and the utility opinion, under the distributed-generation rules consolidated by Lei 14.300/2022. [CONFIRM whether Sollar Sul carries this process]

    CELESC
  4. Installation

Mounting, cabling, inverter and protections. The electrical side follows NBR 5410.

    Sollar Sul
  5. Inspection and meter change

The utility inspects and swaps the meter for a bidirectional one. From that point the system is connected and approved.

How long does it take? No typical timeline appears here because none has been confirmed [CONFIRM the typical timeline] — and because part of it is utility processing time, which is outside any installer control. Saying so is more honest than promising weeks.

Projects

Installed work

Captions by type and neighbourhood. No caption carries a kWp or a generation figure, because none has been documented — and a generation number in a caption is a performance claim.

Warranty

There are three separate warranties

Legal warranty — 90 days

Durable goods and services carry a 90-day statutory warranty from delivery (CDC art. 26, II). It applies whether it is written down or not.

Installation warranty

Any longer period is contractual and must be given in writing (CDC art. 50). [CONFIRM the terms]

Manufacturer warranty

Panel and inverter each carry their own warranty, typically long and heavily conditioned. Neither has been described here, because neither has been read. [CONFIRM both]

If any financing or instalment option is offered, it must show the cash price, the total instalment price, the number and value of instalments and the interest rate (CDC art. 52 and Decreto 5.903/2006). Naming a bank or a credit line needs the partner permission. [CONFIRM]

Request your quote

The number that changes everything is on your electricity bill

Solar is the one service on this site where a form beats WhatsApp, because the quote needs structured input. The field that matters is average consumption in kWh.

Where to find it: on the CELESC bill, look for the 12-month consumption history and take the average in kWh. That number is the difference between a real quote and a guess.

STOCK Bills and documents with a calculator and a pen on a table, seen from above, with no readable personal data. Stock photograph used as a placeholder.
A prior written estimate itemising labour, materials and dates (CDC art. 40), binding for 10 days from receipt unless otherwise agreed — and nothing outside it can be charged without authorisation.
What about uploading the bill? An electricity bill carries a name, an address, an installation number and a consumption pattern — personal data with real weight. So this mockup does not implement an upload: the safer path is to send a photo on WhatsApp, and if an upload really is wanted it needs a stated purpose, a retention period and a deletion route in the policy. [CONFIRM whether they want the upload]

Would rather send a photo of the bill? Send it on WhatsApp.

FAQ

What people ask before signing

How long does grid connection take?

It depends on two things: what sits with the installer and what sits with the utility. Nobody who installs panels controls the second part. Typical timeframe [CONFIRM] — no number has been estimated here.

Who issues the ART?

A professional registered with CREA, who takes on technical responsibility for the work (Lei 6.496/1977). Who that professional is at Sollar Sul [CONFIRM].

Does CELESC have to be notified?

Yes — a grid-tied system requires an access request and utility approval. Who files it, the installer or you, is the question to ask before signing [CONFIRM].

What happens to surplus energy?

Surplus enters the distributed-generation compensation scheme, whose legal framework is Lei 14.300/2022. The rules changed and carry a transition regime, so this site publishes no promise of compensation, tariff or acquired right without a dated source [CONFIRM with source and date].

Does it work in a blackout?

On an ordinary grid-tied system, no. When the grid drops the inverter shuts down for safety — including to protect line workers. Only a battery and a suitable inverter keep a load running. That is the honest answer, and hardly anyone gives it before the sale.

Do panels need cleaning?

Yes, periodically — dust, sea air and leaves cut output. Frequency and whether it falls under a maintenance contract [CONFIRM].

What is the warranty?

There are three and they are not the same thing: a 90-day statutory warranty (CDC art. 26, II), a written contractual warranty on the installation (art. 50), and the factory warranties on panel and inverter, which are separate and carry their own conditions. [CONFIRM all three]

Do you take electrical emergencies?

[CONFIRM whether they do and during what hours] — nothing has been assumed.

How much will I save?

This site publishes no savings percentage and no payback period, deliberately: those numbers depend on your tariff, your consumption, the pitch and shading of your roof and the compensation rules in force. Send your bill and the conversation starts from real data instead of a brochure figure.

Send your electricity bill on WhatsApp and get an assessment

No savings percentage and no payback promise — just a reading of your consumption, what can be done on your roof, and a prior written estimate.
